One to One Coaching and Support
Following the 4 weeks in-class, you’ll meet
with a facilitator for regular one-to-one job coaching, addressing
specific areas and issues in which you need more support. It is during
this period that you will also work on completing any necessary
short-term certificate training.
Short-term Certificate
Training
During the program, all participants
develop an Employment Action Plan which identifies realistic short-term
job goals. In order to get one of these jobs, you may need to obtain one
or several employer-required certificates.

The specific certificates you can
receive depends on your Employment Action Plan, participation, time
requirements and program budget availability.
Are You Eligible?
You are eligible for this program if
you are:
► over the age of 18
► unemployed
► not on Employment Insurance (EI) and
have not established a regular EI claim in the
last 3 years
or parental EI claim in the last 5 years
► not going to school
► legally entitled to work in Canada
► living in the North Okanagan -
Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Enderby, Lumby, Cherryville
Note: Maximum 12 participants per
session; selection is based on need, motivation and employment readiness.
All applicants must attend an
Orientation and
Intake Interview
to be considered for the program.
