Receive personalized job coaching

One to One Coaching and Support
You will meet with a facilitator on a weekly basis for one-to-one job coaching, addressing specific areas and issues in which you need more support. 

Workshops
Workshops on a variety of topics related to your job search. The workshops repeat each month in order to meet the specific needs of the participants.

Certificate Training
During the program, all participants develop an Employment Action Plan which identifies realistic short-term job goals.  In order to get one of these jobs, you may need to obtain one or several employer-required certificates.

► H2S Alive

► FoodSafe

► Serving It Right

► WorldHost Customer Service

► Word / Excel in a Day

► Fundamentals of Insurance

► Basic Security Training

► Traffic Control Person Certification

► Airbrake Endorsement

► Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

► Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)

► Global Ground Disturbance

► Confined Space Entry

The specific certificates you can receive depends on your Employment Action Plan, participation, time requirements and program budget availability.  

Are You Eligible?

You are eligible for this program if you are:

► over the age of 18

► unemployed and not going to school

self-identify as being an impacted worker or having multiple barriers that may be affecting their ability to seek out or obtain employment

► legally entitled to work in Canada

► living in the North Okanagan -  Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Enderby, Lumby, Cherryville

Note: Preference is given to those not on Employment Insurance (EI). Selection is based on need, motivation and employment readiness. All applicants must attend an Intake Interview to be considered for the program.
