Aid For Elderly Renters (SAFER)
The SAFER
program provides direct cash assistance for people age 60+ and who pay
rent for their housing. SAFER is designed to help older British
Columbians on fixed incomes pay for rent and leave them with enough
money for the other necessities of life such as food, utilities and
transportation. The Seniors Services Program is happy to you help you

►
Applications for Subsidized BC Housing
If you live
in BC have a low income and meet eligibility criteria, you may qualify
for subsidized housing. Subsidized
housing is long-term housing for people who permanently reside in BC.
Rental fees are calculated on a rent geared to income basis (30% of
household total gross income, subject to minimum rent based on # of
people).
You may be
eligible for subsidized housing if you can live independently and meet
the household, residency, income and assets criteria.
The Seniors
Services Program can help seniors 60+ with filling out an application to
be on the BC Housing Registry. |
