Hire Ability Program

Hire Ability is an 8-week program that offers resume writing, interview skills, local job information, computer training at Okanagan College, and industry-specific certificate training. The program is funded by the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training; there is no cost to participate.

Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Program

Are you new to Canada and looking for work? The Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Program helps you navigate an unfamiliar labour market and overcome barriers in finding jobs that match your current skills, qualifications and experience.

WorldHost Customer Service Training

Many jobs, particularly in the Okanagan, involve dealing with customers.  And there's no better way to demonstrate to an employer that you have up-to-date customer service skills and can meet their job requirements than by having a customer service certificate from a recognized organization, WorldHost Training Services (formerly SuperHost).

Vernon Job Fair

Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time or seasonal employment, the annual Vernon Job Fair is a great opportunity for you to connect with local employers.  For information on the next job fair, visit www.vernonjobfair.ca

Volunteer Vernon

Volunteering is a great way to gain work experience, learn new skills or to brush up on old ones.  And when you volunteer, you usually meet a lot of new people which helps with your networking efforts. If you do your volunteer work well, you can often secure references for future employment regardless of where you apply.  Visit www.volunteervernon.ca for more information on our volunteer services.
