Wheels of Hope – Canadian Cancer Society Transportation

“Our driving program connects people who need transportation to cancer treatments with volunteer drivers. Our drivers are trained to provide safe and reliable rides to approved cancer treatment facilities. In British Columbia, this program is available in the Interior, in Prince George and on Vancouver Island.” This is a free service.

Eligibility

• Clients have received an active cancer diagnosis.
• Clients are receiving treatment for cancer.
• Clients will be able to request an appointment with 2 business days’ notice.
• Clients are asked to have a back-up plan.
• Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Service is not available on weekends or statutory holidays.
• Southern Interior: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (within Kelowna) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (if travelling into Kelowna from out of town, more than 1 hour 1-way)
