Seniors Social Club
Welcome to the NexusBC Seniors Social Club! We host activities to promote, cultivate and maintain sociability and friendship among older adults in the North Okanagan. Activities range from art classes, soup and socials, to mural tours, picnics and more. Membership is free.

We’ll gather around the table to enjoy good food and even better company, sharing memories, funny moments, favourite fall traditions, and whatever conversations naturally unfold. Whether you’re a storyteller, a great listener, or simply looking for a warm and welcoming afternoon, there’s a seat waiting for you. No speeches or spotlight – just soup, smiles, and friendly conversation.

Ready for a little fun and friendly competition? Come spend the afternoon playing games, sharing some laughs, and enjoying good company. We’ll have a mix of board games and card games to choose from, with plenty of options whether you love a little friendly competition or just enjoy playing something simple while you visit. Never played before? No problem! We’ll help you get started. You don’t need to bring anything – just yourself and a willingness to have some fun.

Cards For A Cause

Pull up a chair for a cozy afternoon of card-making, coffee, snacks, and good company. Keep it simple by filling in cards, or get creative and make your own from scratch. All crafting supplies will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring along your own favourites too! Cards can be added to our Making Spirits Bright boxes, which we share with people in our community during the holiday season. You’re also welcome to make a few special cards for your own family and friends.

Around the Table: Cooking for One

Join Peggy, NexusBC’s Food Security Coordinator, for the next session in our Around the Table series. A Vinyl Cafe Christmas

Come pull up a chair and settle in for a cozy afternoon of Christmas stories from The Vinyl Cafe, featuring a few festive favourites from the world of Dave, his family, and everyday Canadian life. We’ll listen together, enjoy some holiday snacks and refreshments, and share a few laughs along the way. Bring your knitting, crochet, colouring, or another quiet project if you’d like something to work on while you listen – or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the stories.

A Cozy Charlie Brown Christmas

Take a little time to slow down and enjoy the season with us! We’ll settle in together for a cozy afternoon watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, with some festive snacks, warm drinks, and good company. Bring along a knitting or crochet project, puzzle book, colouring, or another quiet activity to work on while you watch if you’d like. Or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie and snacks. It’s a simple afternoon to gather, share a few laughs, enjoy some holiday treats, and soak up a little Christmas spirit together.
