Welcome to the NexusBC Seniors Social Club! We host activities to promote, cultivate and maintain sociability and friendship among older adults in the North Okanagan. Activities range from art classes, soup and socials, to mural tours, picnics and more. Membership is free.

Frightfully Fun Pumpkin Painting

Get ready for a frightfully fun afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and a cozy touch of Halloween magic! Each participant will receive their very own mini pumpkin to paint—no carving required—using a colorful mix of paints and festive supplies. Whether your masterpiece turns out spooky, silly, or simply beautiful, this event is all about expressing yourself and sharing smiles.

Trivia & Treats

Bring your curiosity and your sense of fun for an afternoon of friendly competition! Our trivia games are lighthearted and welcoming—no pressure, just plenty of laughs, surprises, and maybe even a few “aha” moments. While the questions get your brain buzzing, we’ll also have delicious treats to enjoy.

Yoga Slow Flow + Social Time
Monday, November 10, 2025 | 2:30pm – 3:30pm | Dogwood Gym (Vernon Rec Centre) | Cost: $5
Take part in a gentle, 30-minute slow-flow yoga session, then stay for a relaxed social time with coffee, tea, and treats. It’s a lovely way to stretch, breathe, and connect with others. Please bring your own mat if you can – extra mats will be available. Participants must be able to get up and down from the floor unassisted. Cost: $5 (non-refundable). Payment is required at the time of registration. You can pay online through the registration link below or in person at our office. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Vinyl Café Listening Party

There’s nothing quite like settling in with a warm cup of coffee or tea, a sweet treat, and the familiar storytelling magic of Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Café. We’ll be voting on which stories to listen to together on YouTube; his tales are funny, tender, and full of heart—little snapshots of everyday life that make you laugh one minute and feel a lump in your throat the next.
