Welcome to the NexusBC Seniors Social Club! We host activities to promote, cultivate and maintain sociability and friendship among older adults in the North Okanagan. Activities range from art classes, soup and socials, to mural tours, picnics and more. Membership is free.

Cookie Decorating & Movie

Get into the holiday spirit with cookie decorating, hot drinks, and festive fun! All supplies (and cookies) are provided. Just bring your creativity and a smile.
You’ll also help choose the movie! Vote at registration for your favourite holiday classic: The Santa Clause, Elf, Home Alone, The Grinch, or The Nutcracker Ballet.

Brunch & Learn: Beat Those January Blues!

January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and we’re marking it with a special visit from Andrea from the Alzheimer Society. She’ll share simple, uplifting ways to keep your brain healthy—and gentle tips for caring for your mood and mind through the darker months. It’s all about feeling brighter, stronger, and more connected as we step into 2026.

Zumba Gold: Fun, Fitness & Friendship

Join us for a fun and energizing afternoon at the Vernon Rec Centre! We’ll start with a 30-minute Zumba® Gold class, designed for active older adults who want a gentler, lower-intensity version of classic Zumba. After class, we’ll enjoy 30 minutes of relaxed social time with refreshments. It’s a great way to meet others, catch your breath, and see if this class feels like a good fit for you moving forward. Cost: $5 non-refundable fee.

January Glow: Create Your Own Northern Lights
