Farmers Market Coupons | May 1

The Farmer’s Market Nutrition Coupon Program is a healthy eating initiative that supports local farmers’ markets while helping strengthen food security across BC.

Who Can Apply:

• Age 60 or older in the qualifying year
• Living alone and renting your home
• Annual income of $27,000 or less (single person, verified by 2025 Notice of Assessment or filed tax return)
• Independently mobile and able to shop at the Farmer’s Market without NexusBC assistance
• Not currently receiving other in-house meal program food supports

How to Apply:

Come in to NexusBC anytime after April 1 to complete your application. Please bring your 2025 Notice of Assessment or filed tax return with you.

Guidelines:

• Recipients must reapply each year.
• Application is encouraged, but supply is limited. Coupons are awarded based on need.

Program Details:

• Nutrition coupons can be used from mid-June to the first week of October.
• Participants are expected to use the coupons throughout the full term of the program.
• Coupons may only be accepted at participating BCAFM markets, and no other locations or at farm stands.
