The North Okanagan Better at Home Program provides the following subsidized services:
- Transportation and Grocery Shopping: We provide you with rides to appointments and for assistance with grocery shopping.
- Light Housecleaning: A professional housekeeper provides services to help you maintain a clean and healthy household.
- Light Yard Work: We help you with light yard work including raking, lawn mowing and weed eating.
- Friendly Visiting: A volunteer will spend time with you doing activities you enjoy.
Fees for Better At Home services are priced on a sliding scale according to your income. To be eligible, you must be age 65+ residing in your own residence in Vernon, Armstrong, Lavington, Lumby or Cherryville. Not all services are available in each community.
