50 PLUS: Training For Jobs

Have you retired too soon? Has an injury ended your career early? Is there a meaningful second career that you’d like to enjoy? Whatever your circumstances are, our Job Coaches look forward to helping you. There is no cost to participate.
We are offering a 3 week back-to-work classroom-based program for ages 50+ that includes:
- Paid classroom attendance
- Meet other participants with common goals
- Gain confidence
- Identify and upgrade your marketable skills
- Upgrade your digital literacy, if needed
- Craft a great resume and cover letter
- Prepare for your interview and learn how to sell yourself in a positive way
Applicants must be age 50+, unemployed or have unstable employment. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and living in the North Okanagan.
There is a maximum of 10 participants per session. Selection is based on need, motivation and employment readiness.
